Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Howell County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and manage the correspondence. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically

The content identifies how to reach the Howell County Sheriff, the 37th Judicial Circuit, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Howell County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.

Links point to Howell County offices, Missouri courts and agencies, legal resources, and outside tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination controls the visit and its own privacy policy applies. Read that policy before providing personal information.

Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A report that a minor supplied such data will be reviewed so the information can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights over personal data. Missouri's RSMo §610.100 addresses public access to incident, arrest, and investigative reports, while the Missouri Sunshine Law governs government records rather than creating a broad private-site data right. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion where the law permits it
